The guy stood up to a coach that jerked him around for no reason. McDaniels may end up being a very good coach, but if you know he's an azz you can't deal with, then moving on probably helps everyone concerned.

They both suck. The NFC in general is terrible.

I just did a quick and dirty power rating from 1-10 of the league, 5 being "average". I only had 3 NFC teams as 7 or better, i.e. a playoff team- GB, NO, ATL, and CHI. Those might even be generous given today's games. The entire NFC West got a 4 or worse and the NFC East a 5 or worse.

The AFC I had 7 teams as 7 or better, playoff worthy.

I think the quote that upset the most people was that he said he had a better arm than Elway while playing in Denver. Even if it is true, it shows a lack of maturity and makes him look bad. He also mopes around the field when things are not going well which may add to the spoiled brat perception.
