![]() For those of us to young to remember any of John Henry's career ... Best Pal was very unique and one hell of a horse when he was on his game before injury and old age caught up... and pretty solid there after.
In other matters .... Cannon ... would you care to guess at my current facebook status... Quote:

![]() Best Pal would have never been beat at Jefferson Downs as a 2-year-old ... nor missed the exacta nine straight times at Fairgrounds as a 3yo.
John Henry was as one of a kind as any horse during my lifetime ... shame I missed it all. ![]() |

![]() Hey Chucky, don't forget, not very many nice horses get to wait till they are almost four to make their debut.
I'm pretty sure had Z raced as heavily as BP did through her 4yo season, she'd have lost to many ordinary horses. That was quite the impressive victory over Anabaa's Creation, I'll give you that! |

Compared to the "new" Jefferson Downs (the old one was destroyed by a hurricane), the "old" Fair Grounds looked like Hialeah. JD was a bullring dump, but it had its charms.
