You really can't make this crap up. BP should be on the hook for every penny, but Republicans are keeping in tact the $75 million liability cap. $75 million is a drop in the bucket for these morons.

They have to pay for all of the environmental clean up. The 75 mil cap is for paying businesses who lost their business because of the spill.

Obama has asked Congress for $10 MM to pursue criminal and civil charges against BP - guess where the $10 MM comes from.

I saw that BP is offering grants to businesses that have been affected by the spill....small consolation.
I'm not an advocate of "green" but DAMN, this is a monster problem as far as clean up and probable effects to natural settings etc etc.
