Updated today at 7:37 AM

Today: Mostly sunny and warmer, high 68.

Tonight: Mostly clear, low 49.

Pegasus Parade: Mostly sunny, breezy in the evening, high 78.

Oaks Day: Clouds building, 30% showers/storms later in the afternoon.

Derby Day: Mostly cloudy, 70% showers/storms.

High pressure will build into the area Wednesday-Thursday, providing us with sunshine and warmer temps. An approaching cold front will arrive Friday afternoon with showers/storms after 3pm. This front looks like it will stall out right over us through the weekend. Several waves of energy will ride the front Friday night-Sunday. Right now Derby looks stormy with locally heavy rain and strong/severe storms with a repeat on Sunday. The front finally pushes south by Monday morning with clearing skies and cooler temperatures.

"several waves of energy will ride the front" what the heck does that mean? I dont know it jsut sounds friggin awful also the stuff about the strong severe winds dont sound like a lot of fun
