I wouldn't say Butler wanted it more than Syracuse, I would say they outplayed them. As for their supposed 3pt shooting advantage... that's not true. They are entirely average at it (147th in the nation.) They are best at controlling tempo, being efficient on both offense and defense, and getting to the line and converting more than their opponent- which is exactly what they did tonight. I'm a Syracuse fan because of family and friends but tonight I was very impressed with Butler.

The point is against that zone, three-point shooting was supposed to be their only chance. They bricked up a new building, Syracuse led by four with the ball late, and Butler still won despite missing three free throws in the last 30 seconds.
