Two federal agencies charged with keeping potential terrorists off airplanes and out of the country have been without their top leaders for nearly a year.

as for demint placing a hold on the tsa nom-if customs couldn't get a hearing, why would tsa? why is politics at fault, but not the eight month wait to even name a head?
