I dont think this problem can be fixed with money, but then again none of us really know how happy or unhappy or real or not real this marriage is or ever was. I'm sure both of them love their kids and will do the best for them.
I know in my own personal experience, if I ever did that to my wife (even once) I would get divorce papers headed my way, and all the money in the world wouldnt matter. My wife has different values and expectations than most women and wouldnt consider any amount of money to stay with somebody who deceived her like that. But some are different and yes to your point, some can be paid off for their pride and slef esteem to be kept at bay. I didnt marry one of those, so I cant speak as to what this guy is going through and what will happen.
