I have no idea what the negotiations have been like. If he is such a stud, how about a contract with lots of incentives (that such a stud could easily reach)? Mike Singletary held out for the same reason, thinking he should have been drafted higher. That worked out okay for the Chicago Bears. Maybe this will work out for the Niners. Either they get a receiver with something to prove, or they get cap space. I don't think Michael Crabtree is going to make that much difference on this team for a few years anyway. If he holds out much longer, you can basically throw away his first year.
your niners don't need this bad apple. you have enough guys that can catch the ball. let him go back into the draft and see how much money he gets next season.
