Anyone look at this?
Trying to structure an early P4 ticket and the first leg has trouble all over it for a 5 horse field - want to spread in the last leg as it''s msw with a ton of firsters and not much experience of the ones that have run, so looking not to go 4 deep here... 1. Phelps Street - who the hell is Octavio Vergara and what is he doing on a mount that Sorenson won by open lengths on first out? They wheel her back in an unconditioned 32K ( ) where she's beaten a length... has the speed to go with the post, just concerned that an 0 fer jock has much to do or can do other than send from the gate and hope it's enough..currently 2-1 second choice and beatable but still need to find a way to use2. Past Curfew - the slowest of the 3 speed horses here; regular jock M. Smith bails to get on the favorite - seeing winners for the first time, her first start over the surface uninspiring though has been working nicely in the mornings - still gonna pass 3. Warrens Devonlane - nope 4. Call Aly - Sorenson coyly up here on the only logical closer of the bunch 5. Queen Mariles - Speed of the speed - M. Smith up, Headley having a nice start to the meet, bullet coming in Guess the 5 sits the trip just off the 1, the 4 saves in a short field runs at 'em |

I actually worry the 5 is gonna stop when she cant get the lead from the 1. Call Aly is the one I fear. My guess is Past Curfew is better than she has shown yet and Raffy may get the most out of her. Thinking it runs 2,1,5

Why do you guys prefer these short field races in the early pick4? Seems like the later pick 4 is almost always more interesting.

Great point Root, and considering the 4 isn't getting it done for 16 or 20, hard to believe she moves up to do it here - the 2 lays closer off them.

I'd like to thank Octavio Vergara for putting zero pressure on the 5 early on....

Raffy took back out of the gate too...that might of cost him. That was a good match race.
