I think that was an idea but it was scapped rather quickly. The thing I find amazing is that they only cleared the GW bridge by about 1000 feet. Thank God everything turned out right. Once again a tremendous job by the pilot and crew!

As of a few hours ago, they hadn't found the black box yet. Ironic when a plan lands relatively intact they can't find it, but when the poor SOBs crash into a mountain, they get it right away.
I guess it has a pinging device/tracking..right?
