I actually like Brothers Nicholas a bit here, especially if they send him off as the sixth choice like he is on the ML. He came to life last year with the switch from AP to Hawthorne, his back dirt form is fairly solid overall, he's been running better than ever this summer, and I actually think he might get a little something to run at here. I think Barcola and Fairbanks might combine to ensure an honest pace, and he could be there coming for home at what figures to be a decent price.

The Hawthorne Cup perhaps has better horses in it than the Badwood race at SA.

In the Carey, I'll go with Galantas, despite the year layoff, if he's anywhere near the 5-1 ml
