Just because Ohio State got plunger raped by USC doesn't mean you have to pretend to know as much as I do about football.

And the extent that I follow pro football is to watch as many Ravens and Moss games as a I can.

The extent that I follow college football is to read scout reports on new recruits and watch maybe 4 games a year.

I'm going to say it this way:

Moss needed the Pats a LOT more than they needed him.

After all ...they had won 2 very recent NFL titles without him...they've yet to win one with him.

Also...you just made the ALL NIMROD team by purporting to sniff that you know more about football than I do without having any idea about how much I do know about football.

It's also known as Costanza Complex.

I KNOW why Ohio State got bull dozed; I knew it would happen before it happened.

Here's something else for you....USC is not a great team....real good ,but not great.

Don't put too much on them for the big dance this year.

Randy Moss is all there is to football. It's borderline unwatchable without him.

If you know him - you know football. You don't know him.

It's Sun Tzu-esque.

OK ...knowledge contest over.

That was a real dumb statement.

A receiver is about the last thing you look for when putting a team together. The Raiders don't know that ,either.

Moss missed the championship run of the Pats & now he'll likely never get one...kinda like when Mussina went to the Yankees.

He will win one this year with Matt Cassel.

15-0 with 15 blowout wins the first of his two years for the Herd.

15-1 and a NFL record for points scored his 1st year with the Vikes

16-0 and a NFL record for points scored his 1st year with the Pats.

And you want to make it about the Raiders? He shined individually in each of his first 4 games with the Raiders and quit on them because their O-line couldn't hold blocks for more than 0.2 seconds. That and he wasn't healthy

Might as well as get your team a high draft pick if they thoroughly suck that bad.

I don't understand what you are getting at.

Lots of records and no titles.

My point on the Raiders was it made no sense signing him...they needed more important things than a receiver. Your comment on their off. line kind of hints at that.

Back to the Randy Pats....16-0....and the champions of the league who beat them were 10-6 with no offensive records set.

And NO Moss.

I guess their stones rolled.

Don't play stupid with me Mortimer.

The 1998 Vikings and the 2007 Patriots were clearly the two best offensive NFL teams I've ever seen in my lifetime.

In case anyone forgets - The 15-1 '98 Vikings were 13 point favorites in the NFC Championship game over the 14-2 Falcons.

In the greatest choke in the history of man kind - their field goal kicker, who had made 122 straight kicks, had a chance to ice the game and put them up by 10 with 2 minutes to go.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8zx39b2Ny0

Painful as it is to watch - football is a team game. The Vikings defense gave up 500 yards on defense and their field goal kicker who had made 122 straight kicks missed a chip shot.

Randy Moss was not asked to play defense - and Randy Moss was not asked to kick field goals. That Viking team was something like a 3-to-10 favorite to win the Super Bowl at the start of the playoffs.

The 2nd biggest choke was what happened to the Patriots in last years Super Bowl. They had won previous Super Bowls because of a mix of Payton Manning chokes and cheating.

In order for Moss to have not won a Super Bowl so far - he needed two acts of God - a swiss cheese defense that couldn't stop anyone every year he was in Minny - and an offensive line in Oakland that I dare say was the worst collective group in the history of orginazed pro sports.

The defense in New England is there this year. The kicking game is there. Forget about Tom Brady - you can plug in a 7/11 worker to play qb - this is the year!

Direct TV has this package called NFL Sunday Ticket.

It allows you to watch whatever games you wish to watch. They have had it atleast since '98.

Here is what is required for me to watch an NFL game with my undivied attention.

* Moss is playing

* The Ravens defense is playing and a Moss offense isn't playing at the same time on another channel.

* Neither Moss nor the Ravens defense is playing - but the outcome of the game will impact a playoff spot for Moss or the Ravens.

* It's a Super Bowl or confrence championship game I find hard not to watch. Such as the NE VS Indy games.

Other than that - nothing.
