Only the government can get away with that kind of idiot stick planning.

Didn't that place seat over 80,000? My buddies went there opening day quite a few years ago (early 90's or late 80's) when they were supposed to play the Yankees. The game was cancelled because of snow They spent the evening at the bar in the hotel and then drove back to NY (but did get fireworks on the way home!)

It's largest seating for bb was about 78,000,but cut to 73,000 when they closed the mid section of the bleachers off.Standing room for bb got them to 86,000 one time. FB sat over 79,000 ...almost 80 and they hit as high as 86,000 with standing room until the fire marshall got wise.
