It's interesting how different the two races were run. There was a reasonable pace in the Secretariat and SU came home in :24 2/5. There was a crawling pace in the Million and The Tin Man came home in :22 3/5. |

![]() Showing Up is the best 3yr old turf horse. There is no argument. He also proved he is good enough to compete with the older horses. There is no argument there either. Bet against him at your own risk. All the horse does is win. I can't wait till he gets back to his stall at belmont. What a nice horse.

My question about the Seretariat is, what happened to Go Between? Did he bounce off of his performance in the VA Derby? I had a tri-box with him SU and Primary. Primary ran pretty well and Go Between seemed to get his normal trip, but then he just fell apart turning for home. I thought Mott would have him ready. |

Oh, OK ... but you will let us know when we can disagree ... won't you? Showing Up is the most accomplished 3YO turf horse so far ... but whether or not he is the "best" ... remains to be seen. Some people may argue ... gasp! argue? dare they? ... that After Market is more talented than Showing Up ... and will prove to be the better of the two by year's end. But ... then again ... we've been told that there is no argument. |
