Rueters is reporting that comic legend George Carlin has died this evening of heart disease in Santa Monica, CA. He was 71 years old. He was a gifted comedian. He will be missed.

The wonderful wino, hippy dippy weather man and speaker of the "7" words will be remembered forever as one of the best stand up comedians of all time.
