![]() I really think that the Yanks were only after Santana because they couldn't afford for the Red Sox to get him. Look at what the Twins ended up getting from the Mets. If the Yanks wanted him that badly I am sure that they could have given the Twinkies a better package then the Mets did. Kennedy, Melky and another prospect might have got it done. But with the Bosox pulling out, the Yanks could afford to take a chance with the kids. I would like to know who's idea it was to give Posada all that money.
