Well,I do think Obama is making a lot of mistakes,but this certainly isn't one of them. To stand up to these people is the right thing to do.They have a lie that they are constantly having to manage.It never goes away.They can never relax.It takes a lot of work,threats,blackmail,and bribes to keep up the management of their lie.What took place was horrible,but their lies about it are pathetic.They've spent 90 years managing this lie.It's downright childish to keep denying this genocide.All Obama is saying is that it's time for the children to apologize,and stop denying what they did.Those who don't agree with that position are really in favor of letting the brats get away it, because they have something special to give(in this case airbases etc.)It's wrong,but you can always come up with ways to rationalize the taking of a bribe,and making poor choices of friends.The murdering of the Armenians was a slaughter like that by the NAZIS against the Jews.To not even want them to own up to it? Not even an apology for such butchering ? To tolerate it means you really do think these people(Armenians) aren't worth much.I can't imagine what it would be like to know most of your ethnic group was slaughtered,and nobody even cares to make the Turks admit it(God forbide they be forced to apologize for butchering....oh my God digraceful demands.)Maybe if somebody gave a damn when it took place,then Hitler wouldn't have thought he could get away with it.If somebody stood up to them now,then others might not think they can get away with it.
