Did you ever try cooking with your car/truck engine?
Wrap some baking potatoes in foil and put them under the hood before you go on a long (2 hour+) trip. If you have room, carrots can be put in there with a pot roast (dry onion soup mix) but be sure to double wrap it and avoid the potholes.
Another tip...you can use an iron to steam cabbage leaves before you stuff them to make golabki z kaputsty (Polish style stuffed cabbage).

No, but I
have barbequed on a small Weber in the back of a van going down the interstate. Back door open a bit, front windows down. Worked great.
