i have been going to the track since I was 3 yrs old with my father. I am now 24 and like you spend friday nights capping the races. Of course I cant live off of capping the races alone so thats why I went to college. But If you do your capping right then it can surely help a starving college student to pay some of the tuition.

I started reading handicapping books to keep me sharp and informed on different handicapping angles. I recommend reading Handicapping 101 as your first read. My best advice to you is to not overdue it by betting everything you see. BE SELECTIVE!! Pick 3's and Pick 4's are the real money and cap well in advance before you make your wagers.
