This is about 10 weeks in a row where you pick all of the horses that I do except one. What gives? Is this some sort of weird strategy on your part? If it is, I don't really mind, but I am a bit curious about the logic behind it.
Perhaps this is all just a coincidence, but it seems pretty odd.

I like a lot of the same horses this week too. But I do think some of your alts will be my picks and your picks will be my alts. I haven't finished looking at all the races yet though. But I do like your Wood picks.

When you and I pick the same horses, I just chalk it up to brilliant minds thinking alike!!
But this AngelSita person will continually do the same thing week after week. If there are four races they will pick 3 of my 4. If there are three they will pick 2 of 3. This week it was 4 out 5. Even when I make off-the-wall picks like Barkley Sound!!
Like I said, maybe it is just a coincidence, (I honestly can't think of any reason that somone would even care who I liked in a race) and I don't really mind either way, but it happens every week, so I am a bit curious.

So, are these your pick too Morty?

You're more than welcome to play in our contest but I've got to warn you, people get upset if you copy their picks around here

Well, that bites. Here I was surprised and kind of happy that somebody else liked Barkley Sound. Off-the-wall pick? So you don't really the horse has a chance? Actually, I happen to like Barkley Sound. Well, and the fact that him and Izzie's Halo are the only two horses I know anything about in this race.

No, I don't have some off-the-wall strategy to pick the same horses as you. But I have noticed that and there have been a few times where I thought about not picking certain horses because of that. Of course, that doesn't happen because, well, darn it, I should be able to pick the horses that I like. And that is my strategy - pick horses I like even if it's not the smartest pick.

No worries. It was just something I noticed over the past 5 weeks or so. That it was ALWAYS all the same except one. I tried to get across in my first posts that it was NOT something I was mad about it....just curious. I didn't know if it was some strategy on your part, or if we just have really similar handicapping styles. NOW I know that you also employ the always effective eeny, meeny, miny, moe handicapping plan!!
As for Barkley Sound, I do think he has a decent shot in here, but I think I made the mistake of "M/L betting" him. At 15/1 he is a value. But because of his little win streak the past few races I am afraid he will get bet down to the 7/1 range.....and I don't like him at that price at all. I found the Lafayette to be an extremely difficult race to analyze.
Good luck this week.

I did a quick analysis of picks since AngelSita started playing (Since last week - not counting this weeks picks - you both have played 31 of the same races) and here are the results:

You had the SAME picks in ten (10) races and you both were ITM
You both LOST $ ($0 balance) in eight (8) races (I don't know who you picked, just know you had a $0 return)
You had DIFFERENT top picks in thirteen (13) races, of those 13, AngelSita won more $ in eight (8) races and you won more $ in five (5) of the races.

Just an analysis... and don't get mad at me if I copy you, too... you're in the lead Man!!!

Some people want to "Be Like Mike"... I want to "Be Like Sean"!!!!

Ummmmmm, I think not.
You want to be a mediocre (at best) handicapper that works way too much, and spends entirely too much of the time he isn't working at derbytrail.com?
Really DerbyCat, you need to aspire to much more.

Okay, I'll stop filling up the contest page with posts that are not selections now, as I know that just makes your job more difficult when it comes time to calculate the results.
