Here are Buffy's thoughts:
Lakisha-Great vocal performance, but didn't overly entertain me. Chris S-Good vocals, but was all over the place. Gina-Her best performance yet. SanGAYa-Jesus H. Crist! Please go home... Haley- WHAT DID I SAY MY RULE WAS ABOUT SINGING CYNDI LAUPER SONGS? NOW WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO STAND SANGAYA FOR ANOTHER WEEK! Sorry, but Haley is going home. Phil-Actually surprised me. He sounded good, but that is a VERY safe song. Melinda-VERY good singer. But honestly, I wouldn't buy her album. She is too much R&B and that isn't a bad thing, but I think the winner should be more versitile in the variety of music. Blake- I like him. He did well, not the best vocals I have heard him sing, but it was good. JORDIN-My choice to win the competition. She is just awesome. She proved she can sing about any type of music. Chris R.- I DO NOT AGREE WITH SIMON on him. I actually enjoyed his version of this song. And I am a HUGE Gwen/No Doubt fan. I must go vote now!

Well, once again, I largely agree with Brian...disagree with Buffy...my rankings, bottom to top:
10) Sanjaya...not that it matters but just awful, Perry Como without the talent and with a what? Rooster Doo?? 9) Chris S...a trainwreck, this kid doesn't take the competition seriously, no wonder he sent a shoutout to votefortheworst.com! 8) Chris R...well, he chose a good song but agree with Simon, vocal was shaky. 7) Phil...does he remind you of Sting? He reminds me of a guy with limited vocal range. 6) Blake...he finally actually sang a song, looked in pain most of the time...and I was too! 5) Lakisha...As always, nothing wrong with that powerful voice but the performance was lifeless and that dress...great muppety Odin that dress! 4) Haley...ok, she toned down the look (but still managed to contrast those legs with black...what legs!). It was a safe performance but I like her voice and I enjoy watching her sing, even when the camera shot is waist up. 3) Jordin...poor song choice I thought but she was cute enough to pull it off, vocals strong as always, she had fun. 2) Gina...looked hot and sang great!! Big voice and right song to show it off! I agree with Simon...her best and second best tonight! 1) Melinda...she does indeed live the song, she is at home on stage and delivers every week...hard to see her losing this competition!

Brian, could not agree with you more on Jordin. I think she will win. But tonight I thought she was awful too and I can't believe the judges liked her. It was a terible song choice. It's a song that people that can't sing, sing. There is no real singing involved. The 2 best were Gina & Young Boy George (Phil). Chris S. was hands down the worst. Maybe even worst than Tinkerbell with a mohawk.
