Trail's End

If you have the stamina to watch the Oaklawn races until the very end of card [race 14 at 8:14 PM Eastern], you will have a chance to enjoy the Trail's End tradition, modified to fit current circumstances.

Just before the final race of the Oaklawn meet, all of the horses come onto the track and, instead of a post parade, face the grandstand while the bugler plays Auld Lang Syne and the fans sing along. This year there won't be a live bugler and no fans, but the tradition will continue in some form. I have a feeling that Auld Lang Syne will be especially poignant.

The Fox Sports coverage will have ended by then, but I'm sure you can see it on the track feed.
