Probably point to that stakes on the Belmont undercard that West Coast won last year. I forget the name right now.

Got a listed race named for him and coincidentally holds the track record at Aqueduct for a mile (the distance of the Proven Reserves race).

Sunday Silence has a raced named for him, too, but they run it on the grass for some reason.

Saw him win the Whitney then the Travers, which you never would see. He ran fast doing it too. Got a huge ovation from crowd after he won the Whitney. It was a beautiful day as I remember.

I remember the racecaller Marshall Cassidy actually showing some emotion in his voice because Easy Goer got shuffled back a couple of times down the backstretch and entering the far turn.

Alydar and Key To The Mint also turned the Whitney-Travers trick in the 1970s.

Affirmed never should have come down, and Alydar was never beating him that day
