What happened to Palace Malice?
If Bayern is 100% he still isn't faster than Private Zone, and I can argue a case that Pants on Fire is even faster than him. He's going to need to do something he's never done (without wiping out his competitors) and work out a trip from behind the speed. Personally I think he's going to be used up by the 3/8ths pole and struggling by the 1/4 pole with the rest of the speed folding quickly thereafter.

Tonalist is 2nd off a layoff, off a career top, which sets him up (Thorograph-wise) for a huge move forward. And has a preferred style pace wise.

Not trying to talking anyone off anything, it's a fantastic race with a bunch of great horses - I just don't see this as a tough race to find the winner.

IC, what don't you like about him here?

I think Private Zone is the horse to beat, but an unlikely healthy Bayern loose on the lead is dangerous.

I don't think Tonalist is best suited for a fast paced mile, with genuine high quality milers.

Fair enough - I agree that it will be PZ's race to hold onto at the end

I wouldn't play Private Zone or Bayern in this spot with monopoly money!

I'd side with Tonalist, or if I was to take a shot at a price, Kobe's back.

Good luck tomorrow everybody!

Yeah, Kobe's back is intriguing, but he never seems to fire against higher quality.

Neat race tomorrow!

But you would think that if the pace collapses like it should, he has a big chance of hitting the board at a huge price.

Private Zone just doesn't collapse. His two Vosburghs and Cigar Mile races are tough as nails.

With you here. Just don't think Tonalist is fast enough. This race has Bayern written all over it.

He says Bayern loose on the lead is dangerous, I totally agree. But the other guy is saying he respects IC opinion and PZ is 19 lengths faster. Kinda confusing guys.....

Not sure what I said was confusing. I think bayern wins in the lead or not on the lead and I don't think Tonalist is fast enough to win this race regardless of how it's run.

He said PZ would be on the lead and win and, failing that, a loose Bayern on the lead could be dangerous.

I agreed with IC that PZ would control the pace, but didn't think he would hold it, although I respect IC's opinion.

I also told you (and backed it up with facts)that Bayern would not see the lead because he is slower than PZ, and would be used up trying to get it. It would seem all of this bared itself to be correct.

Believe me it doesn't happen that often.

When you've got documented times that refute what you want to believe, it doesn't matter how much you want to wish it not to be the truth.

Don't know what's so confusing, Joe.
