Had a good friend who for some time was ignoring symptoms of colon troubles, blood in stools, intermittent pain, only when he finally went in to the ER a colonoscopy revealed colon cancer however because of his colon's condition it had leaked causing sepsis putting a strain on his kidneys and liver. He got over the sepsis or so they thought and started chemo to treat the colon cancer. His body immediately rejected the chemo, his kidneys stopped working and he suffered irreparable liver damage. His best outcome at that time was to get the kidneys working enough to allow chemo in an attempt to rid himself of cancer only to get on a liver transplant list. It didn't work and two weeks ago to this day he was moved home and given one to two months to live. Perhaps for the best he lasted only two days, one taking visitors and the last day sleeping. He was only 46 and was one of those great guys you luckily meet from time to time. His nickname 'EZ' said it all. Ladies and gentlemen especially the latter, visit a Dr. when you know something is wrong and take no day for granted. RIP Eric 'EZ' Cowley ![]()
