Singapore Airlines International Cup Always Certain (Singapore) California Memory (Hong Kong) Chinchon (France) Cirrus Des Aigles (France) City Style (UAE) Dream Peace (France) El Dorado (Singapore) Flax (Singapore) Flying Fulton (Singapore) New Rose Wood (Singapore) Speed Baby (Singapore) Thumbs Up (Hong Kong) Waikato (Singapore) Xtension (Hong Kong) Zazou (Germany) KrisFlyer International Sprint Ato (Singapore) Better Be The One (Singapore) Captain Obvious (Singapore) Invincible Ash (Ireland) Krypton Factor (Bahrain) Mr Big (Singapore) Perfect Pins (Singapore) Rocket Man (Singapore) Secret Asset (United Kingdom) Yin Xin (Singapore) 3 things (as an aside)... first is Opie has the Waikato mount which is just fantastic. Cool old horse who, the older he gets? The better he gets! Thrilled. Quite a combo. Second... Matt Chadwick has been replaed on California Memory (okay with Felix but still.... breaks your heart). I'm sorry but why is Cruz even sending him over? I think he needs a break but what do I know. Just to back up my silly opinion a tad... Multiple G1 winner Vengeance of Rain - ran in Dubai on 3/31/2007 and never won another race after returning home Multiple G1 winner Beauty Flash - raced in Dubai on 3/26/11 and still hasn't won another race since returning home* Multiple G1 winner Good Ba Ba - ran in Dubai on 3/27/2010 and never won another race after returning home Multiple G1 winner Bullish Luck - ran in Dubai on 3/29/2008 and never won another race after returning home G1 winner Russian Pearl - raced in Dubai on 3/25/2006 and never won another race after returning home G1 placed King Dancer - ran in Dubai on 3/26/2011 and never won another race after returning home. * still in training So yeah I'm sorry but he is a wonderful horse who just doesn't seem to be the same. Third is Brett Prebble. When he went over for the KrisFlyer in 2008 Absolute Champion sadly broke down. The following year he went over again, this time on Sacred Kingdom. He won and dedicated the win to Absolute Champion which I don't know if this is something that's done a lot but I had never seen any jockey do such a touching thing. All class. Couldn't post this thread without mentioning that. |
