From the American Heritage Dictionary...

Ostentatious in appearance or quality; pretentious.

Example in the disctionary....." a vulgar display of wealth ".

Just to be clearer....

Ostentatious....

Pretentious display meant to impress others; boastful showiness

Just to be clear...I assume you realize words can and often do have several meanings.
