![]() For all I rip on Talbots, upon closer inspection he hasn't really been too much of a problem. In 10 starts this year, he's given up 3 runs or less in 7 of them and a total of 13 runs in those 7 starts. In his other 3 starts he's given up 20 runs, so it's just when he's bad, he doesn't mess around, it's seriously bad. It's NASCAR crossing home plate. But in this day of diluted talent, even the best teams don't have good 5th starters. And when the talent wasn't as diluted, teams only used 4 starters. But, when your 5th starter gives you a good chance to win and keeps you in the game 70 percent of the time, that's fine. He's been much less of an issue for the team than that other starter you call Exhausto.
