![]() NY tried this about 15 years ago, but the howls from the racing media were ridiculous every time the longer part of an uncoupled entry won. Let's hope that doesn't happen this time around.
That being said, I wonder if an unintended consequence of the rule change is that it further aids the big stables. Races that might not have filled under the current rule may now now go with modest-sized fields of horses from a handful of barns. |
