Long, eclectic day of racing Saturday had some ups and downs, but was largely entertaining. The quirky World Cup action found a domestic fellow traveler in the Lanes End card at Turfway, while at Fair Grounds, Todd Pletcher exerted his renewed dominance with a sweep of the three G2 stakes with Battle Plan (New Orlean H.), Blues Street (Muniz) and Mission Impazible (Derby).
