Default Betting strategy

With the new year upon us, I'm really searching for a new beginning as far as my betting goes. Thru the years I've found it's harder to bet than to actually cap a race. I usually play win and exacta wagers, mainly keying a horse on top of 3. Occasionaly will throw a pick 4 ticket out there just to watch it go up in flames after the first leg. I was wondering how some of you all bet. Not so much how much (as we all have different bank rolls).

For instance: Do any of you wager WPS, WP or just W tickets? Do you key a horse in your exactas or do you box? Do you play Pick 3,4's? If so, is that all you play and what is your strategy as far as lining up your Pick 4's? Or is it better just to play tris and supers?

Basically, just trying to pick your brains a little, trying to find a strategy that fits me. I just feel my betting could be much better, and what better place to ask this other than here... Thanks
