Not quite, but close on the first one. It really comes down to having kids. If you have no desire to have children then there is really no reason to get married in most cases. Unless you really luck out and find that someone special that understands and even better likes what you like. Football, Horses/going to the track, gambling etc... I lucked out, but that being said. If (God-Forbid) something ever happened, I would never get married ever again. I do tell her that if it wasn't for her I would probably be walking around picking tickets off the floor at Freehold yelling "anyone know who won the 3rd at Finger Lakes"!?. I joke, but I know how lucky I am.

As far as reason #2. Most of them don't stay hot forever. If that's what you are looking for I suggest that you just live together. It's almost like leasing with the option to buy. And if she starts breaking balls (they all do) badly just terminate the lease.
