Handicapping Contests: Which one and how to enter?

Do any of you guys know about the official contests in Vegas, and how one would get involved?

I have heard of the the National Handicapping Championship associated with DRF, and I have also heard of the the "World Series of Handicapping". I'd like to (eventually) try to enter one, and I don't know how to actually get started.

One key question: Do these contests allow the individual to take a laptop computer with him, and do they have internet connectivity? I have tried to automate some of the calculations I do and I do not see me trying to "pen and paper" my way through such an undertaking.

Any info much appreciated...
