![]() Who do you all like here (..... I guess all meaning Moodwalker and Johannesburg)?
![]() I think it's high time Peeress had another great win. ![]() From Racing Post..... Moore on board as Peeress goes in search of more Group success by Desmond Stoneham RYAN MOORE, well clear of Jamie Spencer in the jockeys’ title race, will ride Peeress for Sir Michael Stoute in Sunday’s Deauville highlight, the Prix Haras de Fresnay-Le-Buffard-Jacques Le Marois. The Lockinge winner will be joined in the Group 1 contest, due to be shown live on At The Races, by Godolphin’s Librettist, the mount of Frankie Dettori, as well as Ballydoyle’s Ad Valorem, for whom the booking of Jamie Spencer has been confirmed. The domestic defence is headed by Prix Jean Prat winner Stormy River, while New Girlfriend makes a swift reappearance after finishing in rear in last Sunday’s Prix Maurice de Gheest. “New Girlfriend appears to have come out of the race in good condition and I’ll make a final decision tomorrow morning,” said trainer Robert Collet. “We have nothing to lose by running her again – the tactics didn’t work out as we had hoped last time.” The Mark Johnston-trained Crosspiece and Mango Mischief (John Dunlop) have been declared for Sunday’s main supporting event, the Group 3 Prix Gontaut-Biron, while Peter Chapple-Hyam looks likely to run Striving Storm in a 7f event named in honour of the great Francois Boutin. The track was watered overnight and clerk of the course Yves Dehayes described the going as good to soft on Thursday morning, although with only slight showers forecast, it is likely to be good on Sunday. |
