Eight horses were able to run in the Breeders' Cup after only after their owners put up supplementary fees. They were:

Kip Deville-WINNER
Excellent Art
Remarkable News
Host
Ginger Punch-WINNER
Tough Tiz's Sis

That's three winners out of eight. Four of the remaining five lost to one of the three winners.
