Thanks Nicole, I think one of the hardest things was him writing on his own facebook page that Dr.'s had just told him he had 1 to 2 months to live and he was headed home to plan his funeral and get his financials in order. He ended with only 'unbelievable'.

When I saw him the day he got home it was apparent it was going to be days and not months. At least he got to spend his last two days on earth at home, looking out at the forest that served as his backyard, surrounded by family and friends including his best friend Lulu, his dog, who he hadn't seen in 6 weeks. And somehow it felt more like a coming home party rather than funeral or wake.

He did somehow die with a smile on his face and it was apparent he was at peace on his last day. But that wasn't surprising considering it was Captain EZ!
