Default Woodbine Sunday Oct. 18

Just some quick notes...

Race 1:
#5 Sophia's Song didn't work badly at the June sale and has a steady tab of longer works. Price might be a bit low in the shorter field.

Race 3:
#1 Bar Down has been hampered a bit by just losing the first step at the start. Rail should be to his advantage.

Race 4:
#2 Cyclogenesis ran very well upon returning from the UK and has every right to move forward here. There doesn't seem to be much pace in here so hopefully JV puts him close.
The Euro filly ran 8 days ago...

Race 7:
#2 Fireball Merlin looks to get a good trip right behind the leaders and the repeat well within reach.

Race 8:
#12 Tamada: Beaten by #7 two back but that was over a mile. Form guide reads well all year (2nd to Secret Gesture) and the price looks great.
#5 Lacy: Thought she had an upset chance in Chicago but those hopes evaporated with the rain (pun intended)...won't be completely firm but will suit her better.
#10 Eastern Belle: Ultra consistent and hard to leave out of the exotics.
#9 Curvy: Another that will appreciate it a bit drier but hard to love her at that price off of a modest NA debut.

Race 9:
#5 Up With the Birds: Loves this course, looks to be shaping up for a big run, and I like the switch to JV.
#4 Second Step: Beat Telescope (4 horse field), close 2nd to Melbourne Cup hopeful Big Orange, G1 winner in Germany, but he just lacks the "it" at the moment to make him a top Euro. Dangerous as this isn't a tough field but it could go either way.
#9 Interpol: Ever improving sort that's hard to leave out.
#2 Cannock Chase: Hasn't progressed as expected from 3 to 4. Did encounter trouble in the G1 but at the end of the day was still well spaced from the runners directly in front of him.

Good luck!
