Terrific field. Ben Melham's picked up a great ride in PDL. I think he's a huge chance. Worried about It's A Dundeel's interrupted prep. Long John and Shamus Award are interesting runners with the tiny 3yo weight.

He was the one who rode Black Caviar in her first G1 under the same kinda conditions, right?

Any word on who gets the Foreteller mount?

I had wondered what happened with The Peak (he's in R3)! He had a couple of nice races in HK... be interesting to see him here.

Honestly, the way she's been running, she just hasn't been herself at all. I don't know why. She's had a different jockey each time, but it's made no difference. The problem seems to be with her, not the jockey, so I don't see it making any difference, sadly.

For the Cox Plate, I was thinking...

Fiorente
It's a Dundeel, Super Cool (he's at 20/1 and I think it might go higher)
Puissance de Lune, Seville, Rekindled Interest, Foreteller (Foreteller is my one concession to silliness... I just flat out like this horse and will do a very small win bet on him because I'm a moron)

.... but you know what, ed, I just keep looking at Dundeel and everything aside he could do it so am wondering if I should switch out those top two and thinking I probably will.

Leaving out Long John who is a nice horse but who I don't think has a chance here (wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong).

TVG needs to get a grip and stop listing Atlantic Jewel (at 8/5).

Still time to mull this over... the more I look at Super Cool the more I think he's a must use just wish I knew where.
