you mean because no one else responded? perhaps some were put off by the amount of pages?
i'm not happy with how things have gone these last 12 years, and i have no high hopes for the immediate future. i hate the mess we're leaving for our kids to sort out.

it was thought provoking, i'm sure it rubbed some the wrong way to see a side of their leader they didn't wish to consider.

Yeah. Of all the mind numbingly stupid bullsh*t that tends to get discussed in this forum for days on end, I thought that this might at least generate a little more interest and discussion. Oh well, carry on sheep.

I honestly have to say I'm not shocked in the least by any of this... He's got political aspirations and will use any means necessary to insure that this fight remains on foreign shores.

Unfortunately,as Tony Blair correctly points out, his approach leads to increased tensions and hostility, lots of unintended causalities, which in turn perpetually breeds more hate and discontent until you have a never ending list of names to add to the kill list.

But then again, as long as your plan is to maintain a perpetual "war on terror", you've got to make certain you have a fully stocked supply of people that would want to cause you harm - no better way to do that than to accidentally blow up their village with a drone and kill their families going after #16 on the list.

They are captivated by the Wisconsin recall election.

i'd imagine that it makes some uncomfortable...i've noticed certain questions get ignored, certain topics are shunned, because as the adage says, the truth hurts. this isn't something that some people expected to find out about the current commander in chief.

i hate the tactics-i especially am appalled at how they decide if someone is a casualty or not. of a certain age, sex, you're automatically a bad guy. amazing.

we need some students of history in government, and we need to completely rethinkg our defense and foreign policy.

when pearl harbor was hit, yamamoto said something along the lines of fearing they'd woken a sleeping giant, and filled him with resolve. we weren't a superpower, but we were feared all the same because of our industry, and our general attitude of having great strength of will. that was also shown in ww1, when germany was hoping to end things before we could get over there and change the course of war. ooops.

why the push after ww2 to have a huge, permanent standing army? why the moves to install countless bases overseas? whey the permanent carrying of a big stick? one need only look at the changes since ww2 and the pickles we've gotten ourselves into to see we've made huge mistakes. no need to continue them.

drone strikes in multiple countries, the longest war in our nations history still being waged....all to what end?

Default Obama called out as "a Murderer"

Huff Post re-reporting:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1565441.html

>>>"If you go to the village of Al-Majalah in Yemen, where I was, and you see the unexploded clusterbombs and you have the list and photographic evidence, as I do--the women and children that represented the vast majority of the deaths in this first strike that Obama authorized on Yemen--those people were murdered by President Obama, on his orders, because there was believed to be someone from Al Qaeda in that area. There's only one person that's been identified that had any connection to Al Qaeda there. And 21 women and 14 children were killed in that strike and the U.S. tried to cover it up, and say it was a Yemeni strike, and we know from the Wikileaks cables that David Petraeus conspired with the president of Yemen to lie to the world about who did that bombing. It's murder--it's mass murder--when you say, 'We are going to bomb this area' because we believe a terrorist is there, and you know that women and children are in the area. The United States has an obligation to not bomb that area if they believe that women and children are there. I'm sorry, that's murder."<<<

You think the Sons, Uncles, Cousins, etc. of those women and children are thrilled with the US, or running to Al Qaeda to sign up?

Good Going, Obama - get the entire middle east pissed off in time to pull our troops out of Afghanistan so you have the excuse to keep them there forever....errr...oh, yeah - that's the plan - my bad.

This country is gone. Life will go on, it will suck more...but America is over. People take life for granted. They aren't thirsty for knowledge. Fat, dumb and happy. The only way they will wake up is when it is far too late.

right.

i said over and over when all the hope and change was being touted not to believe it, that the system wouldn't allow change. i think it's telling that the one group of people who have made money during this economic mess is the politicians.

it seems we have become what we fought against in the 1770's and '80's, with an elite class and then everyone else. i'm reading 'the dreyfus affair' right now-it's horrifying to know that the french army was more intent on protecting itself than admitting it was wrong so that an innocent man could go free...even sunk to forging evidence and letting the real spy off the hook. you couldn't suppose that could happen here, could you? yeah, i could see it-and that's a damn shame.

It's the "Boiled Frog" phenomenon - the lower-middle class gets lulled into a state of "sated-poor" ... They have been fed the story of the "American Way" where you work hard, pay your way, and are rewarded with retirement at the end.... Things could be better, but no real complaints because even though they are broke, they've got a house and a way to make ends meet, and oh by the way a mountain of credit cards debt that they'll die with.

Any real change would require them to look at the dynamics of what has propelled them into this mess and make drastic changes in their behavior - which will never happen because it's much easier to sit back, bitch about everything yet do nothing to change it... meanwhile the heat continues to get cranked up - making due with less and less, everything from fuel to groceries tripling in price in 2 decades and now need to run up more credit just to get by... Until the pot is boiling and they're cooked.

All manipulated by banks and corporate ownership of the Legislative body

Sadly, You're right coach - America is over and not even a shot was fired in defeat.

But I digress

People won't demand change in their government because they have no leverage anymore - they are, by and large, in debt up to the eyes and have grown accustomed to the fact that both side are the same, so voting one side out to vote the other side in is a joke... Unfortunately just 10% of the registered republican voters saw the one real candidate that had a chance to shake up establishment - so whatevah... sheep will be sheep....

I know Springsteens home, the property is as big as most towns. When I go to NJ he lets us hunt on his land.
