I play poker at Parx plenty and can sat with certainty that nobody even notices that racing takes place at Parx, Even when I play poker at Parx I never follow racing save a stakes race. There is no time to bet hoses when you are playing poker professionally. People hoping that there will be some crossover are just plain silly.

Poker players at Parx can walk down the escalator and be right there, IF THEY WANTED TO...Speak for yourself about noticing racing while playing there. Anyone that has an interest in the sport can easily sit out a few hands and go make a wager. Professional poker players and Parx shouldnt even be in the same thread let alone paragraph..

What is the main game there? 5/10 NL 1k buy?

I probably should have read the article before commenting, but it drives me nuts when people compare poker to horse racing because they are completely opposite. Poker takes about 5 days to learn and understand if you have a 3rd grade math level where horse racing takes years with any type of education. That alone is the huge deterant when it comes to new people coming into this game.

Freddy - I'm going to look out for you there. . . I guess you didn't keep reading after like the second paragraph, though.

The main NL games at Parx are $1/2 $300 max, $2/5 $1K max and $5/10 $2K max (might be higher). . . I've seen $10/25 spread on occassion and I think $25/50 once.

Scav, you're right that you should've read it first. . .

Mostly 1-2 nl around the clock...they usually have about 5 tables of 2-5.... A few 4-8's and two to three tables of 5-10.....buy in for that table is 500-2k, most people buy in for a stack, at least thats been my experience... Im still a fan of taking the ride to the Borgata and try my luck there...playing in the rinky dink 200$ tourney there tomorrow, been super busy up until this afternoon
