![]() Dodgers signed INF-OF Eugenio Velez to a minor league contract.
Velez was non-tendered by the Giants in early December after batting just .164 in 55 big league at-bats. The Dodgers probably view him as organizational depth, useful only in the event of an injury.

![]() Yea, he hit over .300 in over 300 at bats at Fresno. Then, when he came back to the Giants, he took a hard foul ball to the face.
I guess it hit him dead flush, but he just got a concussion. He has shown some decent power at Dodger Stadium. When a pitcher is struggling with his control, this guy can hit pretty well ![]() http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/vi...878826&c_id=la http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=6717849 http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/vi...ent_id=7503389 (Kemp should of caught this, but he's too tired from Nympho Rihanna riding his stick all night.) That might be his last game-winning rbi at this level. Last edited by SCUDSBROTHER : 03-16-2011 at 12:42 AM. |

![]() The fact they ain't cut him yet makes me even more convinced that they got him to try to make Uribe's 1st year here be an easier transition.
