Default belmont super

does anyone else think that super is low? with 4 mil in pool a horse that pays 25$ but seems to be 3-1, 5-2, in the mutuel pools. I hit this super on a saver ticket of a pic 4. I had 2,5,6 in pic4. when I finally saw that payoff I just about puked. thought id get 800-900$ min. any thoughts

Nah... Payouts made sense.

Exacta was where it was at.

You had the fav 3rd and 2nd choice 4th. Can't expect a huge super.

it was the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th choices. Paid about what you'd expect.

What I wondered was whether dime supers drive down a payoff like this because your more likely to box a play rather than have to do so with dollar bets. 2.40 vs 24 bucks makes a difference with alot of people so with dime boxes you probably have more tickets with the 5th choice on top.....

Were available on the automatic machines, Telebet and online. And Doc is right that dime supers drive down the prices on the play. That was the motivation for the $1 Super High 5.

Default There is no doubt it was low.

If that would have been any other track it would have paid alot better. 60-1 exacta ??? I don't think everybody at the track had summer bird ?

Summer Bird was 8-1 or so in the exacta pools, and Dunkirk was more like 3-1 in the exacta pools. The casual bettor win money on MTB caused the win pool to be somewhat distorted. He was much closer to the 2-1 ML in the exacta pool. For example, the 4-7 exacta was paying $55 and the 4-2 exacta was paying $120. Obviously if MTB was even money and Dunkirk was 5-1 in the exacta pools, the numbers would have been more like $40 and $150.
