I have very little confidence in anything the Olympics does when it comes to testing, even if they do not find something, the cheaters can always be one step ahead. Interesting you mention Tiger, I was listening to a sports talk show one day and even he was mentioned as possibly using droids, golf is a physically demanding game believe it or not, and droids would allow the muscles to recover quicker. I'm not accusing but I can't be sure either way, we've seen far too many bad eggs this decade that it would be foolhardy to atleast dismiss the possibility. It is Sad to paint everyone with a cloud of suspicion however.

The thing about Phelps is he's been a world class swimmer throughout his career. He was tops in the world for his age group from 11 years old till now. He's more of a genetic freak than a cheat. Wouldn't shock me if he was taking something...but really he'd smoke his competition without it.

Exactly... Tiger too. Was a freak at 3, 8, 13, 18, 23, 28.

Of course A-Rod was a freak as a junior baseball player in south Florida, and that turkey still found it necessary to take stuff (and lie about it)

are you sure they have the same trainer? Tiger's trainer is Keith Kleven, I couldn't find any links that suggested A-Rod has used him.

theoretically you could practice longer at the range because you'd have more endurance and a quicker bounceback, but that seems like a pretty flimsy argument overall.

I would think the best way to cheat at golf would be to use a souped up club or ball or something like that.

When you are playing golf all the time and practicing at the range... your body gets into golf shape pretty quickly and its not very physically stressing. Its much more Mentally stressing!! Its not like the pro's carry their bag all day either.

I cant say I've ever looked at a golfer and thought "man that dude looks like hes on juice". I think steriods would have a reverse effect in golf.

He was running for 25K condition claiming races - and after going to Wolfson, within two months, he's running 2nd by 1 length to English Channel. Than winning a Graded stake race a few weeks later - than a few weeks later coming back in the Grade 2 Dixie and breaking down on the lead causing Albarado to fall off of Einstein.

The problem is that Wolfson never had any of this magic before 2006. His win percentage and ROI stats always looked the same - and he wasn't an elite form reversal guy to say the least.

It's like a baseball player hitting .280 with 25 hr's and 85 RBI's for 12 straight years .. than he goes .375 with 60 hr and 150 RBI's for the next three years in a row.

Luis Gonzalez! Wait a minute....he wasn't even averaging 20 HR's per season.

Disagree... being diabetic, I'd get tired at the range after 300 balls (even when I played every day). Some pros hit that before breakfast. If I were a 'roider, maybe I'd be able to hit 2-3x that many.

I doubt it would help someone with a 18 handicap, but it could help someone who is a very good golfer become even better. I get your point, there are many variables that make a golfer good, strength is only one factor, but perhaps more importantly droids allow you to train more, or atleast more painfree. It allows muscles to recover at a faster rate and that can only be a good thing when you are playing competitive golf in my opinion.
