The trainer is O.J. Jauregui and I heard at the track today that Merus has a slight abscess in his hoof but he'll be fine. O.J. really likes this horse and I think he'll be a good one to keep an eye on. O.J.'s a good trainer and a great guy, I wish this horse lots of success.

I liked what I have read about him and how he won his last race up at Golden Gate..Rallied wide (5 wide for that matter) and closed with a rush to win by a length..He's yet to be beat and so far it just appears that he might be a "sleeper" and one that could sneak in under the radar over the upcoming weeks ahead.

I have never heard of the trainer and wish him nothing but the best of luck with this little horse...It would be nice to have a "small" guy win the derby..Especially this year. Heck..any year for that matter. I just don't think I can stomach another year like last years circus...
