Finally...2 years on DT and a question I can answer in the smarty threads

and this isn't a set up..you really don't know?

A quinella is a single wager where you select two horses to finish first and second and can be in either order. An exacta is a single wager where you must pick the first and second place finishers in exact order. They are seperate betting pools with seperate payouts

If a quinella is where you must pick the first two finishers, in either order, than what is a quesadilla?

Funny you should mention that....

quinella is to exacta
as
quesadilla is to enchilada

That is how I was planning on answering the question right off the bat.......but I decided to leave this softball for Bob to hit out of the park.

You can get a quesadilla at Taco Bell for $3. The box is free.

yeah sorta....the order does not matter on the quinella wager where as in the exacta wager you have to have the exact order (unless you box it)

You need at least three horses (dogs) in a quinella box. A straight quinella is just two selections since you get it either way.

My approach was to fry the tortilla in butter and melt some jack cheese in it. I would use alot of butter to fry it, adding more as needed until the tortilla was a nice crisp golden missile brown.

When the cheese was oozing out, it was done!

You sound impressive, like a guy in the horse business

Do you know a guy named Scav?

anyone else who grew up in the 60's/70's would know my pain. we took a lot of little things without knowing the future consequences.

it was something like this...."here, take this small blue dot and wait an hour. your going to feel real good!"

sure, what the hell?... lets put on some Zeppelin!
