Default POY and TOY Nominations

It is that time of year again folks....the big awards season has arrived....

There are some big favorites this year, but many worthy contenders should not be forgotten simply because they happened early in the year which could lead to them being overshadowed by flashier alternatives.

Here are my picks for the top 3 choices in each category....although I could easily be forgetting some worthy nominees that should be added.
We'll start with Post of the Year

POY Nominees

1) 03-27-2008

TOY Nominees

1) What would you do?
http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...ight=dipsh%21t
This thread contains some fine work all around and one of the favorites for POY.

2) The Big Contest
http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26156
The 4/5 favorite.

3) Big Brown
http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...ghlight=legend
This is a great thread, although it doesn't realy reach possible TOY status until PG's declaration on page six that Giant Moon would run Big Brown into the ground. It contains good overall quality, one definite POY nominee, and another that certainly could be considered. blackthroatedwind's post after one of his favorite former posters enters the discussion made me laugh several times.

The Joel Rosario thread is the Silky Sullivan of the TOY awards. It's making a phenomenal late rush as I type this.

I really need to get back to work, but they have me sucked in. Pass the popcorn Kev.

i emailed sumitas' post to everyone i know who followed racing but didn't already post here. it was jaw dropping good.

i can't see anything else as post of the year.

i'd vote kyrim for thread. it already had a lot going for it but then i saw i posted and that really sealed it.

I think if Steve unedited it..it could surge at the wire...the GFY was a classic touch by Hossy.

TOY has to be "I want to go to Veterinarian school"....it's a classic, I love where Riot tells her that she shouldn't write that on the application.

POY could only go to sumitas...although I think we should include a "poster of the year" to reward his entire catalog of insanity

Her 2007 declaration that she was going to school to be a cardiologist was one of my favorite threads.
