Default Saratoga Wednesday 6th race

Interested in opinions on this one as these are my favorite Spa races.

You have older horses dropping, younger horses on the rise, six tracks last raced, some moving up from sprints and some cutting back, and some favorites from the past all meeting up like L"oiseau D"argent off a tuner upper. I like Rock Lobster a little but that post is O'fer this meet. I like Real Quality but Albertrani is O'fer. Right now I'm on Dr. Rico with a big race here last year at 31/1. But it's really wide open.

How do you like and why? Could be a big price played right.

Uh.

Wouldn't it be best to wait for scratches, on/off turf?

Thinking the weather will be OK as the front is now coming from the North which should push the weather out and cool things off. Besides many will not have time to respond by then.

I'm seeing this the first time Prado has riden for Casse this year and he's been hot. Is that why you likes?

Casse is sharp at spotting his shippers. Horse is making 3rd start off an 11 month layoff, going 2 sprints to route. Be interested to see how she handles two turns.

Cool things off?

I guess we need to get our snow shovels out.

There is little to no chance of turf racing on Wednesday.

Thanks for that info...no need for me to continue looking at the race.

Well that sucks... I guess I'm no better at weather than horses. I could have sworn 2" of snow but I guess you're more sure than anyone.

I'm changing my stand...there will be turf racing tomorrow and Andy I challenge you to a $1.00 wager on it.

It was 60 at the track on Monday. I hope it doesn't cool off. It rained and stormed in SAR today. More possible for Wed.

Wait for turf conditions. I'd be shocked if this one stays on as it has several MTO's and a couple of OK dirt horses in the body of the race.

Anyone have the exact number of races that have come off the turf this meet and those that have actually stayed on? I would be surprised if more have stayed on.

This already has to be a single meet record!

Terrific Storm. Lot's to love about this one. Loaded with back class from late '07. Gets my man Leparoooo and Tr. by M. Maker J/T combo clicking at 32% in '07/'08 and 18% at the Spa w/ ROI @ $2.90. Beat Jr. Colege in 11/07. On 4/30/08 was just 3 1/2 L's back of Corrupt,A P Excellant and Jazz Quest. On 7/3/08 was 4 3/4 back w/ Petion Station and Dominican (who won next out). Concerned that he drops below his clmg. price and racing in a 35K claimer after running in a long series of 80 + 100K OC's throws up a red flag that the Ramseys might just be looking to just get rid of him due to some serious ailments. I think this either wins going away or has a major problem and is off the board. 12/1 ML. Anything near that would seem to me to be exceptional value 5 or 6/1 would be good enough for me. I'll toss $10 on his nose that he's a gamer...if he's off the board I'll be more aware next time that owners don't "giveaway" horses without good reason.

No clue about the track but its beautiful outside. 60 and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. Perfect weather.

Not to worry.

Plenty of (better quality) turf racing over at MTH, AP, DMR, LRL, WO,etc.

It's all good when there's a choice.

Got to protect those precious turf courses.

Suggestion to CAMPO: you might want to think about carding an ALLOWANCE race on the turf one of these days.
