Default California Cup and Breeders Cup

With a Breeders Cup race for every condition/distance/surface/gender, we are probably looking at average of 6 horse fields in every race. The Cal Cup looks to be the highlight of the meet.

I believe that there will be a lot more participation than you think. One thing the poly will do is make more people take shots at the big purse hoping that the surface will be an equalizer. Naturally many of those horses may not be great horses but Keeneland sure hasnt had a problem filling its fall stakes.

One thing this breeders cup may not do is be the deciding factor in HOY honours.

These 2 upcoming BCs should have extremely high foreign participation. They should also have large field sizes in general on all the synthetic races. Turf races may have a possibility of being depleted in field size or at least quality.

Some owners and trainers will really take advantage, especially in the 2008 version before most catch on.

Which makes me wonder....Do foreign horses have to run in win and your in type races overseas too before they can run in BC races?
