![]() THat so many horses seem to be pointing to this race? I mean good gracious the horse that won KD did it so effortlessly i thought for sure that there would be like 6 horses, maybe, in the gate. What in the world has changed in the week since KD? Do these trainers know something we dont or do they just want to try to get the 2nd place check?

![]() It's a tremendous opportunity for some total mediocrity to get black type in a $1 million dollar Classic race.

![]() because anything can happen, big brown isn't expected to run back to his derby performance, and the checks for second and third are pretty good. placing in a classic will be in bold print on some horses pedigree page-may as well be one of these.

![]() not saying everyone isn't expecting him to win, but i'd think most expect a bounce. problem for the rest of the field-is their top effort, if they can produce it, enough to beat a bouncing big brown?

![]() Assuming Big Brown negotiates the course there is nobody in this race, unless Harlem Rocker runs, that has a chance in hell to win.

![]() i don't expect big brown to lose to anyone else entered. but we all know anything can happen.
as for the 'bounce' deal, i just know that those who are proponents of that sort of thing think big brown will bounce-but that he will most likely win regardless.

![]() I'm sure many of the great one's have said it, but I remember Mr Jerkens always saying, if there is only one horse to beat, you run. Anything can happen to the horse and then it's wide open...i'm paraphrasing, not quoting...
I'm sure that is what is going on here...especially when you consider the foot issues and BB doing something he's never done before in running twice in 14 days... |

![]() I was a little suprised to see El Gato Malo show up in the Lone Star. I thought WestPoint would run him in the Preakness.

![]() maybe he'll run back in the belmont. since he couldn't make the derby, the lone star/belmont is a nice way of spacing his races, rather than preakness/belmont. and still one of the three in there. but that's pure speculation on my part. maybe the penna derby next? some of the horses who had been potentially headed there are now preakness bound.
