Default 10 Cent Super...

Yesterdays Battataglia Stakes the favorite runs out and we get a
19-1 / 3.5-1 / 40.3-1 / 3.9 -1 with an 11 horse field and the Super pays a little over 6 K for a 1.00 Super. No one can tell me that these .10 cent Supers aren't decimating the payouts for the traditional 1.00 players. Going back only 2 years ago the bulk of my profits came from playing the Supers during the Derby trail.. Those days are gone forever.

The pool is the thing. without the dimers the payout would depend on the pool which wouulda been smaller and resulting in a similar ar smaller payout. With same odds and size of field the pool and payouts at Aqu,GP and SA would have been what you wanted.

Correct there was only 56k in the pool so 12k is a pretty good payout for a $2 SUper

So what you are saying is that it would be routine for someone to hit a 20-1 winner on top and a 40-1 3rd place in an 11 horse field if it was a dollar min ... Don't think so.. No one is going to hit the all button in an 11 horse field at a buck. But of course we can talk this one out until the cows come home because there is no way of knowing how many .10 cent winners there were.
